San Francisco native, OSU graduate receives top honor from Delta Dental Foundation
Dublin, Ohio —
The Delta Dental Foundation recently honored Benjamin Kwok, DDS of San Francisco with its prestigious Student Leadership Award for $2,500.
Kwok is a 2016 dental school graduate of Ohio State University and was selected for the award because of his leadership and desire to make positive change within his community.
“Throughout his career at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Mr. Kwok has shown quiet and comfortable leadership that allows other leaders to shine while continuously keeping them motivated and focused on the end goal,” said Susannah Turner, Director of Student Affairs. “He is team-oriented and willing to work hard to make things happen. He has partnered well with the college administration and specifically Dean Patrick Lloyd to initiate and implement change that benefits both the students and the college as a community.”
Kwok actively served as the Student Government Association president, vice president and his class of 2016 vice president for two years. During his time at OSU, he also served on the executive leadership team for the school’s Give Kids a Smile event hosted by the Ohio State College of Dentistry.
Since 2001, the Delta Dental Foundation has granted an annual Student Leadership Award to at least one senior dental student from Case Western Reserve University, the Ohio State University, Indiana University, the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy.
